The Women’s Southern Nevada Golf Association (WSNGA) stands on a foundation built nearly four decades ago. Since its inception, the organization has carried a rich history shaped by dedicated women who have continuously moved it forward. That legacy remains central as the WSNGA enters a new era—one defined by both opportunity and transition.
The current focus is clear: to help the organization thrive while navigating a changing golf landscape. With the evolution of the Southern Nevada Golf Association to Nevada Golf and a collaboration with Northern Nevada, the WSNGA is strategically working to ensure strong alignment and continued relevance while as an independent member club association within Nevada Golf. Maintaining meaningful relationships at all levels is a priority, as is sustaining long-standing programs such as team play and other tournaments that have become cornerstones of our association.
Much of the work we are doing is behind the scenes. Updating bylaws, refining standing rules, and working through logistics are essential steps in positioning the organization for long-term success. Collaboration has been key, particularly alongside pioneers whose leadership and vision have helped guide the WSNGA through change. While the process is ongoing, the goal remains steady: stay the course while continuing to move forward.
A main ingredient that we have accomplished for public viewing is the creation of the new WSNGA.org, which houses all schedule information and other important information. This is the hub of the organization and we appreciate the support of the SNGA in this transition and creating such a beautiful platform.
What makes the WSNGA special is its unwavering support of women’s golf. From growing membership and welcoming future member clubs to supporting junior golf and the broader women’s golf community, the mission is rooted in inclusion and opportunity. Even as we remain an independent Southern Nevada organization, collaboration with Northern Nevada continues through events such as the Silver Cup and the Quad, with hopes of creating even more competitive opportunities.
Leadership remains grounded in service and collaboration. Building on the example set by past president Rusty Beckel, the commitment is to listen to members, support clubs, embrace new ideas, and keep the spirit of the WSNGA at the center of every decision. With the support of a dedicated executive board, committee chairs, and talented members, the organization is well-positioned to grow, adapt, and continue its meaningful impact on women’s golf across Nevada.
