Brooke Hempel played a steady first day–one birdie, one bogey–en route to winning the Gross Division crown.

Hempel, who survived a double bogey on the 35th hole of the tournament, picked up her first title with a one-stroke victory.

“I wasn’t sure where I stood,” Hempel said. “I didn’t look at the live scoring and didn’t know how I was doing until the end when Christina (Brandt) said I beat her by one.”

Hempel said she played solid golf both days but the difference was her driver the first day.

“I felt like I hit the ball well yesterday,” she said. “I was hitting the driver better than today and playing smart golf. I hit greens and got up-and-down when I needed to. But I did have some knee-knocker putts for par.”

The final day saw a few blips in Hempel’s game.

“It was a little bit of everything, but nothing major,” she said. “I had a couple of bad drives that got me into a little trouble, a three-putt…just a shot here and there that wasn’t good. And that double bogey.”

She added her final two holes of the tournament proved to be a little daunting.

“I thought those last two holes were going to be fairly easy,” she said. “I was like, there’s no water on them so I can coast in. But no, I have to make it a little difficult.”

Despite the double bogey, she said there were even bright spots on that hole.

“I chunked it into the sand trap but got out of the trap great,” she said. “I also had a good shot out of the trees earlier on the hole and a nice two-putt so there were some positives.”

Adeline Show played a six-hole stretch in six-under-par (a net eagle and four net birdies) to rally for a scorecard victory in the Net Division after tying with Jessica Ng.

Show was 10 shots off the lead after the first round before rallying for her first individual championship. She’s won the Nevada State Women’s Partner event twice with her daughter, Millburn Ho.

For the two days, Show posted one net eagle and 15 net birdies.

“It was unbelievable,” Show said. “The first round I had a nine on a par-5 and then a nine on a par-4. And despite the blowups I still had a 95 and it wasn’t a totally bad round.”

Then came the second day and the scoring fireworks.

“Today I had no expectations,” Show said. “I went out wanting to improve by 10 strokes to overcome those two nines and I improved by 13 so I was very happy.”

She said the second round started off well and kept getting better.

“I had a big improvement with my putting,” she said. “I saved a lot of pars and bogeys with my putting…and I stayed out of trouble. Hole by hole, I just kept playing steady golf and it paid off.”

She said in the end, she felt she had a little help in winning.

“I was very lucky,” she said. “The golf gods were with me today. I just wanted to stay hydrated, finish the round and play better golf. That’s it. I really didn’t expect to win.”

2026 Silver Cup Qualifier

Captains Autumn Dorini and her sister, Christina Brandt, saw 18 women qualify for the team that will represent the South in the 2026 Silver Cup.

The yearly tournament will be held Nov. 8-10, 2026, at Las Vegas Country Club.

The North team snapped a two-year South winning streak as they posted a 27-13 win at Somersett Country Club in 2025. The North now holds a 19-14 edge in the series.

“We have a great shot this year,” Dorini said. “We have some awesome net players who qualified and our gross players are always solid.”

Dorini added the there’s just one goal for the South team in 2026.

“We lost last year after winning two straight but we’re ready to keep the Cup down here in the South this year,” she said. “I’m super-stoked. The course sets up so well for us. We’re going to have a good run and it’s going to be fun to watch.”
